The Trumpeter Swan is a majestic bird, with snowy white feathers; jet-black bill, feet, and legs; and a wingspan that can exceed 10 ft. It is the largest waterfowl species native to North America, reaching up to 35 pounds, and is one of the heaviest flying birds in the world. Trumpeter's mate for life and are migratory birds, moving south in late fall when their habitats begin to freeze.
