Scenic vistas of Alaska - Turnagain Arm, McHugh Creek and the Little Susitna River.  The Turnagain Arm is the easterly arm of the Cook Inlet.  It was named by Capt Bligh and has the largest tides in the U.S, at times greater than 30 feet.  During especially large tidal changes, a bore tide is formed when the leading edge of the incoming tide clashes with the flow of the outgoing tide.  Bore tides can reach a height of six feet and surfers often ride the bore.
