The Bald Eagle, the classic icon of the United States, standing for strength, courage, and freedom, was chosen in 1782 as a symbol for our national emblem. “Bald" comes from the old English term "balde" which originally meant white.  The bald eagle is an opportunistic feeder, subsisting mainly on fish.  Females are 25% larger than the males, having up to a 7 foot wingspan and weighing as much as 12 lbs.

These are high quality photographs on quality bonded paper suitable for framing.
